Terms
The rules of the road, in plain English.
These Terms govern your use of the Build Supply Direct site and the quote-and-sourcing services we offer through it. They're written to be readable. If you ever have a question about what something means, email us and we'll explain.
Last updated: May 22, 2026
Who we are
Build Supply Direct is a Florida-based factory-direct sourcing operation for U.S. residential construction — windows, doors, cabinetry, flooring, lighting, vanities, custom furniture, car lifts, and the long tail of fixtures and finishes between them.
This site is operated by Build Supply Direct. By using the site you agree to these Terms.
Quote requests
Submitting a request for quote on this site is exactly that — a request. It is not a purchase order and does not create a binding contract.
We respond to qualified RFQs with a branded bid package covering line-item pricing, lead times, and where applicable NOA documentation. The bid package itself, including any project-specific terms it contains, is the binding offer once you accept it in writing.
We may decline to quote, or end a quoting conversation, at our discretion — for example if the scope is outside what we source or if we can't serve you well.
Pricing and payment
Prices in a bid package are all-in landed cost to your jobsite. Unless your bid says otherwise, that includes ocean freight, customs duties, and local trucking from the port to your jobsite. Installation labor is not included.
Pricing is locked for the validity window stated on your bid — typically thirty days from issuance.
The standard payment schedule is 50% to confirm the order and lock production and the 50% balance upon shipping. Larger or multi-container projects may have a custom schedule, which will be spelled out in your bid.
What we do and don't do
We source materials. We select factories, manage production, perform pre-shipment quality control, and handle door-to-door logistics to your jobsite.
We do not install. You are responsible for engaging licensed contractors to install what we deliver. We can refer trusted installers in South Florida if asked.
We do not provide design, engineering, or permitting. Securing permits and confirming local-code compliance with the help of your design and engineering team is your responsibility.
Code compliance
For Miami-Dade impact-rated openings, every piece ships with its Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance, lab-tested per ASTM E1996.
For projects outside Florida, we provide product testing documentation; confirming that the product meets the building code in your specific jurisdiction is your responsibility and your contractor's.
Quality control, delivery, and damage
Before any container ships, you sign off on a photo-and-video quality-control walkthrough at the factory. Defects identified at that stage are corrected before the goods leave for the port.
Every shipment is covered by trade insurance. If items arrive damaged in transit, we manage the carrier claim and replace the affected pieces at no cost to you.
Lead times in bid packages are estimates based on factory schedules and ocean-freight conditions at the time of quoting. We will keep you informed of meaningful changes.
Imagery on this site
Photography on this site — including the category showcase and the sample project — is illustrative. Your bid package will reflect the actual specifications and finishes for your project. Sample savings figures shown on the site are representative; actual savings vary by scope, finish level, and supplier-specific quoting.
Your content
When you submit plans, drawings, dimensions, or other scope documents to us, you grant us permission to use them for the purpose of preparing your quote and — if you place an order — producing the goods. We treat them as confidential and don't share them outside the people and suppliers required to do the work.
Our content
The Build Supply Direct name, logo, written copy, photography, and site design are our intellectual property or used with permission. Please don't copy or republish them without permission.
Disclaimers and "as-is"
The site is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We don't warrant uninterrupted uptime, freedom from every error, or that every detail is current at every moment.
Product warranties are governed by the warranty terms in your specific bid package and the manufacturer's documentation for that product. Nothing on this marketing site creates a warranty that overrides those documents.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Build Supply Direct and its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of this site or our services.
For any order placed, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Product replacement and in-transit damage claims are handled per the trade-insurance terms in your bid package.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the site is the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Changes
We may update these Terms over time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
