How we handle your information.

When you submit a request-for-quote on our site, you share what you choose to share — typically your name, email address, optional phone number, optional company and role, the city and state of your project (so we can estimate freight), and a description of your scope. Some fields are required, others are optional; you control what goes in.

When you email us, reply to our messages, or share documents — plans, dimension sheets, photos — we receive whatever you send.

Like most sites, our hosting platform records standard server logs and usage analytics — page views, referrer, device type, and timing data. We use these to understand how the site is performing and where to improve it.

We do not currently use advertising or remarketing pixels. If we add them in the future for advertising and lookalike audiences, we will update this policy and reflect the change under "Last updated."

To respond to your quote request and prepare a bid package for your scope.

To communicate with you about your project — usually email, occasionally by phone or text if you've shared a number and we have something time-sensitive.

To improve our process: which categories get requested, what kinds of scopes we see, and how to write better quotes.

If we run paid advertising in the future, we may use lead and customer data to build first-party audiences and find similar prospects on advertising platforms. We will only do this with data we collected directly from you with proper notice — never with scraped or purchased lists.

Service providers who help us run the business. These include our database, email delivery, site hosting and analytics, and internal team alerting. Each one only sees the data it needs to do its job.

Our suppliers, but only the scope details needed to quote or produce your order — never your contact information.

Legal authorities, if required to respond to valid legal process.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with data brokers or list buyers.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you — email hello@buildsupplydirect.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our messages. If we ever send marketing texts, reply STOP and we'll remove you.

California residents have additional rights under CCPA / CPRA — to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of any sale or sharing (we don't sell or share, but you can confirm that at any time).

EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions: if you're covered by GDPR / UK GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Email us and we'll handle your request.

Active lead and project data is retained as long as we have a working relationship with you, plus a reasonable period after — typically up to two years from last contact — for follow-up and tax/compliance purposes.

Completed project records may be retained longer (typically up to seven years) to meet U.S. business and tax record-keeping norms.

You can request earlier deletion at any time.

The site runs over HTTPS. Data is stored with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Credentials and API keys live in secure environment variables, never in code or shared documents. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply reasonable, contemporary security practices.

This site is not directed at children. Please don't submit information about anyone under 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction).

If we make material changes to how we handle information, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify recent contacts by email. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
